FACILITIES & SERVICES
FROM THE TREETOPS TO THE PLAINS
We believe safari is more than simply touring in a 4x4. A wealth of awe-inspiring experiences await at Tarangire. Here are some of our favourites:
Book the use of an exclusive vehicle and guide for the day for a private, personalised experience.
Utterly exhilarating night drives allow you to turn off the lights and take in the stars of the African sky. See the notorious honey badger, bush babies, and many other nocturnal roamers. These drives are hosted by a guide and a Maasai Tracker and take approximately 1 – 2 hours.
Experience the bush up close and personal with our walking safaris. See elephants, smell the grass, and feel the soil beneath your feet. Walks are hosted by an armed guide and Maasai tracker, taking approximately 1 – 2 hours. Participants must be physically fit and children must be 16 or older.
Visit a traditional Maasai boma, or village. The Maasai people, originating from South Sudan, migrated to this region in the 15th century. They are semi-nomadic pastoralists. A boma may consist of a family, headed by the husband and his wives and children, or many families forming a village. Our visit will give you a brief look into their world.
Immerse yourself in rich Maasai culture as you savour culinary delights in a traditional Maasai Boma. This unique alfresco dining adventure offers a fusion of bush-inspired flavours and international cuisine, all illuminated by the warm glow of lanterns, the flickering embers of the campfire, and mesmerising dance performances by the Maasai menfolk.
Unwind at the end of a busy day with a cocktail while you gaze out at the drama and beauty of Africa. Red and orange skies turn to starry nights as another perfect day comes to a close.
